Who can apply
Full-time Maine residents on track to graduate from a Maine public high school who plan to attend a two-year or four-year degree program at an accredited college. Selection is based on academics, community impact and financial need.
Good to know
Financial need, academics and community impact are selection factors. Current scholar rules require at least half-time spring enrollment, verified directly with the college; no minimum GPA, transcript submission or separate renewal application. Students have six years to receive four $2,500 checks and should report leave, transfers, study abroad or early graduation.
