OSAC Scholarship Application
DirectoryScholarship
This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.
- Award
- Many donor scholarships (more than 600) through one application; amounts vary.
- Deadline
- 2027-28 applications open November 1, 2026. The general page lists an annual February 15 Early Bird drawing and March 1 final deadline, both 11:59 p.m. Pacific with next-business-day adjustment for holidays/weekends; it does not explicitly date those closing deadlines for 2027.
- How to apply
- Create or update an OSAC account, select eligible scholarship fund numbers and complete contact/background, college plans, transcript, activities chart and personal statements. Current guidance limits each statement to 1,900 characters including spaces; the fourth statement is optional. Donor essays/materials may be additional. File FAFSA or ORSAA for need-based funds. Follow transcript-upload rules and submit every material by the final deadline.
- What you'll need
- Essays
- Who can apply
- Generally Oregon residents, with specific school/tribal/military residency routes, studying at Title IV-eligible U.S. institutions; military academies excluded. Seniors, GED/homeschool graduates, college and graduate students may qualify. Some funds allow eligible noncitizens or undocumented/DACA/TPS students using ORSAA; citizenship and residency requirements have donor exceptions. No grant refund owed or education-loan default under general rules. The current OSAC FAQ says temporary-purpose international students are not eligible for OSAC scholarships.
- Good to know
- More than 600 donor awards. Early Bird $1,000 awards are drawings. General continuing rules include satisfactory academic progress and usually full-time enrollment, with donor exceptions; individual value, duration and renewal depend on the award. The state explicitly confirms November 1, 2026 opening but no dated 2027 closing deadline was located. ORSAA instructions contain a mismatched aid-year reference for fall 2027. Select the application for the actual academic year of attendance; do not rely on that typo.
