Who can apply
Donor criteria vary. Most funds require Hawai‘i residency, financial need and at least 2.0 GPA, with exceptions; full- or part-time enrollment may qualify. Award payments are limited to U.S. institutions and territories. No universal citizenship restriction or GPA filter is established by this family entry.
Good to know
More than 300 funds. The 2026-27 average $7,230 per recipient is historical, not a guaranteed student award. Annual reapplication is required; some funds offer renewals or renewal preference. The portal still displays the closed 2026-27 cycle; current dates and guidance come from the updated 2027-28 main page/FAQ. No universal recommendation requirement.
