Rhode Island Foundation scholarships

This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.

Award

Individual fund amounts, duration and renewal vary. The current directory includes awards from $500 upward, with different annual or multi-year terms; no uniform award is guaranteed.

Deadline

Fund deadlines vary. The March 30, 2026 announcement said April 13, 2026 was the first major deadline for most funds. This is not a confirmed 2027 date or a deadline for every fund.

How to apply

Browse fund criteria and follow the fund’s universal, stand-alone or nursing application pathway. Many funds share a universal application, while others use separate applications. The current directory labels listed applications closed; next-cycle full materials must be checked in the relevant pathway.

Who can apply

Rhode Island students are broadly welcome, but each fund sets its residency, school level, major, background, need and other rules. Some awards serve seniors, college or graduate students or vocational study. There is no uniform GPA, citizenship or need requirement across the directory.

Good to know

The March 2026 announcement’s more than $4 million is total available funding, not a student award. Current directory examples confirm differing values, renewal and criteria, including funds without academic-excellence requirements. New-cycle dates/forms and individual award conditions are not confirmed.
