DirectoryScholarship

This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.

Award
Many donor scholarships (more than 150); amounts vary.
Deadline
2027-28 Unified Scholarship Application opens October 1, 2026. Submit the USA and submit/postmark all required documents by February 10, 2027. The website says online materials must arrive by midnight but does not state a time zone.
How to apply
Use MyVSAC, select eligible fund IDs and submit one USA. All VSAC-assisted scholarships require a general essay of at least 250 words covering goals, financial need, service and uniqueness. Donor-specific recommendations, essays and transcripts vary. Need-based funds require FAFSA; Vermont residents’ processed FAFSA reaches VSAC automatically, while nonresidents provide their 2027-28 FAFSA summary. Label/upload documents as instructed or follow the mailed/postmark route.

Who can apply
Usually Vermont residents and U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens, with donor exceptions. Programs may be at U.S. or Canadian colleges/training institutions. Fund-specific school, major, year-level, need, merit and service rules apply. Eligible noncitizen is broader than permanent-resident status; no universal citizenship filter is imposed.
Good to know
Current 2027-28 booklet pages 1-9 confirm dates and common materials. The booklet’s donor entries distinguish amounts, selection and renewal; full renewal instructions come in award letters. Outside scholarships listed separately in the booklet do not use the USA. Individual donor terms are not universal to this family.
