Deadline

Most scholarships open December 15, 2026 and close March 2, 2027 at 5 p.m. Eastern. Separate funds may have other deadlines.

How to apply

Create a portal account, submit the universal base application, then submit each matching opportunity and its supplemental questions. High school transcripts are uploaded by the counselor; college students use an unofficial transcript. Recommendations, essays and FAFSA Student Aid Index or financial information depend on the fund.

Who can apply

Funds serve high school seniors, undergraduates, graduate/professional students and adult re-entry students attending eligible nonprofit or public U.S. institutions, including trade and technical programs. North Carolina residency, GPA, need and other restrictions vary by fund.

Good to know

The page announces 2027 dates at the top but retains 2026 dates and instructions below. The FAQ states a minimum award of $1,000; coverage and continuation depend on the offer.
