MCF scholarships

This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.

Award

Donor awards generally range from $500 to $5,000; some are renewable, with fund-specific conditions.

Deadline

The next scholarship cycle opens January 1, 2027. Individual 2027 fund deadlines have not been posted; directory entries still show 2026 deadlines.

How to apply

Create a portal account and use the optional eligibility quiz, or a fund’s access code. Submit a separate electronic application for every fund you want; paper applications are not accepted. Transcripts and recommendations follow the individual fund instructions.

Who can apply

Montana-connected students; high school graduation, full-time status, school location, major, GPA, need and other restrictions vary by fund. Some funds permit attending outside Montana.

Good to know

Nearly $1 million was awarded across all funds for 2025-26, not to an individual. The linked FAQ is labeled 2026-27; it accepts official or unofficial transcripts and requires electronic recommendations when requested. Recipients complete an acceptance form, and college payments are normally split between fall and spring.
