- Most donor awards range from $250 to $7,500; most are one-time, with some renewable or allowing reapplication.
- Deadline
- 2027 cycle not yet open. The 2026 cycle ran January 26 to March 16, 2026.
- How to apply
- One common application covers directly managed funds. The published 2026 instructions required a transcript, two recommendations, activities and employment information, essays and financial information including FAFSA confirmation showing estimated Student Aid Index. School-based awards have separate forms; confirm 2027 requirements.
- Who can apply
- Students in Southeast Michigan. Individual funds have their own residency, school, major, merit and need rules.
- Good to know
- The sponsor explicitly says the displayed instructions are for the closed 2026 cycle and will be updated for 2027. The FAQ accepts official or unofficial transcripts with GPA on a 4.0 unweighted scale; renewal/reapplication depends on the fund. Payments go to the institution after a School of Choice form.
