How to apply

Search the foundation’s scholarships, then follow the listed route. Foundation-managed funds require separate applications, with a Copy Previous Answers option. Scholarship America programs may use a common application; institution-specific funds require contacting the school or following its instructions.

Who can apply

Primarily Pittsburgh and Westmoreland-connected students, with high school, undergraduate, graduate/professional, vocational, adult re-entry and some K–12/enrichment opportunities. The general college guide states a 2.0 minimum GPA, but specific funds have their own school, residency, GPA, field and need restrictions.

Good to know

Nearly $3 million is total annual funding across approximately 375 funds, not an individual award. The main page confirms January 2027 reopening for 2027-28; exact fund deadlines and new application questions are not posted. References are typically two, sometimes three, depending on the fund.
