BRAF scholarships

This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.

Award

Many donor scholarships; from one-time $500 awards to four-year scholarships up to $20,000.

Deadline

Dates differ by scholarship. The directory lists some recurring month/day dates and March 31, 2026 for one fund, without a full 2027 cycle. Existing award renewals have annual fall and spring document windows.

How to apply

Browse the directory and complete your own application through the portal, including every required document by the fund deadline. Some funds require FAFSA first. Recipients provide official verification of current full-time enrollment; renewal documents follow the specific fund’s instructions.

Who can apply

Primarily Louisiana-connected students, with some funds allowing particular Louisiana or Texas colleges or University of Missouri business students. School, nomination, family or employer connection, field, GPA, need and enrollment requirements vary by fund.

Good to know

The main page gives a broad $500 one-time to $20,000 four-year range. Directory examples include one-time and multi-semester awards with different GPA and employment conditions. Official enrollment evidence is required; class schedules, invoices and transcripts alone are not accepted. Checks are mailed to the recipient, payable jointly to the student and school, for deposit at the school. Renewal windows are listed annually as August 1–October 31 and January 1–March 31, without cycle years.
