SVCF-managed scholarships
DirectoryScholarship
This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.
- Award
- Individual award amounts, duration and renewal vary by scholarship.
- Deadline
- 2027-28 dates not yet posted; the 2026-27 cycle is closed.
- How to apply
- Use the SVCF-managed application and complete each matching fund’s additional requirements. The FAQ requires one non-family recommendation of up to 800 words, submitted by the recommender, plus applicable transcripts and financial-aid documentation. All materials are due by the application deadline; confirm the 2027 update.
- Who can apply
- Primarily California or Bay Area-connected students, including high school seniors, undergraduates, graduate/professional students, re-entry students and vocational/technical candidates. Some funds accept noncitizens, including AB 540, DACA and legal residents. School, field, GPA, financial need, residence and enrollment requirements differ.
- Good to know
- Close to 700 awards and more than $4.5 million describe aggregate annual funding, not individual awards. The 2026-27 SVCF-managed application is closed. Students may receive only one SVCF scholarship per year, and recipients eligible for renewal or deferment may not apply for a new scholarship that year. Payments require admission/enrollment verification and a Proof of Enrollment form; continuation and deferral depend on the award.
