Universal scholarship application

This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.

Deadline

2027 deadline has not been posted. The foundation says to check back in December for the next scholarship cycle. The previous universal cycle ran December 15, 2025 to February 27, 2026.

How to apply

Complete the universal application’s initial eligibility questions, then each matching scholarship’s additional requirements. Other funds require separate applications. Common documents are a recent unofficial transcript, non-family or non-friend references, essays, activities and financial information. FAFSA is not required to apply.

Who can apply

Primarily Colorado-connected high school seniors, undergraduates, graduate students, trade/vocational students and nontraditional learners, with different school, residence, field, merit, financial need and background requirements by fund.

Good to know

The $12 million figure is total 2025 funding across 84 scholarship funds, not an individual award. The latest universal cycle ran December 15, 2025–February 27, 2026; the FAQ says check back in December, without confirmed 2027 dates. Recipients complete a follow-up form before institutional payment, and renewal or summer use depends on the award. The Denver Foundation is a different organization from Denver Scholarship Foundation.
