NDCF scholarships
DirectoryScholarship
This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.
- Award
- Donor scholarships with varying individual amounts; directory marks some below $500 or $300. John D. Weis example lists $1,000-$20,000 depending on applicants and funds, with annual reapplication.
- Deadline
- Deadlines differ by fund. John D. Weis lists January 1-April 1 without year; this does not establish all funds’ 2027 windows.
- How to apply
- Apply to each scholarship separately per its page; many use the NDCF scholarship portal (Grant Interface) and some use mailed forms.
- Who can apply
- Scholarships are organized by college, statewide, county and community criteria, mainly North Dakota with some cross-border school/county funds. Each sets its own residency, level, major, merit, need and required materials.
- Good to know
- Directory reports over $1 million aggregate awards, not an individual award. Check each fund’s instructions and firm deadline. Do not copy identical answers across different funds. Weis example supports students who lost a legal parent/guardian, including ND school/home/GED graduates or current accredited college/trade students.
