Award
Donor awards vary. Published 2026-27 examples include Jim Kennedy up to $40,000 across eight semesters, Nancy Penn Lyons up to $6,000 annually for four years and Pattillo up to $5,500 annually for four years. Confirm 2027-28 amounts and renewal conditions.
Deadline
2027-28 dates not yet posted. For the 2026-27 cycle, most scholarships opened December 8, 2025 and closed March 2, 2026.
How to apply
Submit the appropriate portal application and all required attachments/references by its fund deadline. The 2026-27 FAQ requires current FAFSA summary, transcript, fund-specific essays/references and conditional test scores; unofficial transcripts accepted. Renewal invitations are separate, requiring updated academic/enrollment documentation.
Who can apply
Each fund sets geography, school, affiliation, GPA, tests and financial-need rules. Many require full-time postsecondary study, but Pattillo allows part-time enrollment while working full time. Mayor’s fund has Atlanta school, residence or qualifying city-employment routes. Employer/college-specific awards have distinct criteria; no universal Georgia-residency requirement.
Good to know
Published application/FAQ details concern 2026-27. All required references/documents must arrive by closing; missing FAFSA summary is not accepted late under those rules. Awards paid to schools after acceptance; renewable funds require their specific semester/annual follow-up.
