This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.
- Award
- More than 80 individual undergraduate scholarship funds with differing award amounts. Most are renewable for up to four years with annual form, current transcript, satisfactory standing and fund-specific requirements.
- Deadline
- 2027-28 dates not yet posted. The official page describes a December 1 to March 1 application window with April email notifications.
- How to apply
- Submit one portal application and required materials. The 2026-27 checklist includes transcripts, two nonfamily references, personal statement and FAFSA summary/family income documentation; fund-specific exceptions apply, including tax documentation for some vocational programs without federal aid.
- Who can apply
- Most funds serve South Hampton Roads high-school graduates and require financial need/full-time enrollment; some restrict senior status and others have different geographic or educational criteria. Read each selected award’s rules; no universal GPA or residence requirement.
- Good to know
- Most awards consider need. Published material checklist explicitly concerns 2026-27; confirm next-cycle financial year and attachments. References should address the applicant for this process, rather than generic recommendation letters.
