This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.
- Award
- More than 200 donor scholarships with variable amounts and coverage. General and Trumpower funds support postsecondary study; separate music/athletic opportunities support K-12 activities. Trumpower may provide four total years with continuing eligibility and 2.0 GPA under the 2026 guide.
- Deadline
- General/Trumpower published window March 1-March 31, 2026, not 2027. Music/athletic cycle September 1-September 30, 2026. Trade opening appears as November 1 without year, while 2026 guide lists November 15, 2025-May 1, 2026. Confirm next cycle; no 2027 postsecondary deadline published.
- How to apply
- Apply through NextGen using the appropriate program application. A new application is required annually, including renewable awards. 2026 guide requires current transcript with cumulative GPA; need-based consideration requires FAFSA information or qualifying Maryland DREAM Act documentation and need essay. Some music funds require references.
- Who can apply
- General funds primarily serve Frederick County residents; Trumpower serves Carroll County applicants with specified residence/school documentation. Seniors, current undergraduate/graduate/certificate students and nontraditional learners may qualify for full-time or part-time study by fund. Separate music/athletic funds serve K-12 students.
- Good to know
- About 60% consider financial need; Maryland DREAM Act route available for qualifying undocumented applicants. School payments and covered costs vary by program. Trumpower residence/school wording differs between current summary and 2026 guide; confirm the applicable route.
