- 150+ scholarships; FAQ says individual awards generally $1,000-about $10,000, average $3,000. Nearly 40% renewable for two or four years with fund-specific GPA, criteria and documents; other awards one-year. Covered educational costs differ by fund.
- Deadline
- 2027-28 dates not published. Prior application and all required supplements/references due March 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. PST. Award-specific fall/spring verification deadlines assigned in portal; no late materials or year-to-year deferral.

- Complete the Common Scholarship Application (short essays; some funds need recommendations or supplements) plus a FAFSA, CA Dream Act Application or Federal Student Aid Estimator result.

- Who can apply
- Seniors, undergraduate/graduate, medical/professional and adult re-entry students at eligible U.S. institutions. Most funds require one full year of San Diego County residency and local parental tax filing, with specified military tax-filing exception. Main guidance lists minimum 2.0 GPA; funds may set higher thresholds. International/undocumented applicants may qualify where fund does not restrict citizenship/status.
- Good to know
- Common application automatically matches/submits eligible funds only when all required supplemental questions completed. Financial alternatives include FAFSA, California DREAM Act or Student Aid Estimator. Awards paid to institution after agreement and verification; grades required before each applicable semester. Some require donor thank-you video. Notify Foundation before transfer; no international-institution payments.
