DirectoryScholarship
This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.
- Award
- Dozens of donor awards with variable individual amounts; current grid includes $1,000 awards and up to $10,000. Some have multiple payments; duration/renewal conditions depend on selected fund.
- Deadline
- Most scholarships open in December and close in March; 2027 dates not yet posted.
- How to apply
- Create personal-email AcademicWorks account, complete general application, then separately submit matched opportunities. Upload recent transcript including unweighted GPA; references, essay and FAFSA/California DREAM Act report are fund-specific. Need-based applicants unable to file either may submit prior-year complete IRS tax return under current FAQ.
- Who can apply
- Funds serve various Northern California school/county populations and institution/major/demographic groups, including seniors, college, graduate and adult re-entry students. Some graduate/institution awards do not specify county residence. GPA rules differ, including 2.0-4.0+; no common residency/GPA cutoff.
- Good to know
- More than $1 million to 400 students is aggregate funding. Financial-aid delays may allow confirmation email/estimated SAI initially, but required final information must be updated. Scholarship claim normally due September 1, year unstated; current page differs between early June and April-May notification guidance.
