This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.
- Award
- 38 donor scholarships with varying individual amounts, one-year or renewable terms. Fresh Start example up to $5,000 for training/tools/books and related costs; Maltese Cross up to $2,000 annually for five years with 3.0 GPA and at least three credits per semester.

- How to apply
- Create personal portal account, complete common application and its recommended fund tasks, including all required supporting uploads. Some individual/returning-adult funds have separate windows. Interview required for Bill Patterson and certain other funds.
- Who can apply
- Mainly western Colorado graduating seniors, with adult, vocational and active-firefighter funds and some broader Colorado geography. Bill Patterson requires Mesa County Valley District 51 graduation, 3.75 GPA and science/engineering/environment career interest. Fund-specific GPA, school, need and affiliation apply; permanent immigration residency is not universal.
- Good to know
- Payments directly to school; FAQ describes splitting awards above $2,000 into two payments and verified-document requirements. Renewables require GPA, other criteria and follow-up documentation; one-year awards differ. Fresh Start supports qualifying vocational training including some for-profit centers. The FAQ still gives a 2023 deadline; use current fund instructions.
