Who can apply
High school seniors graduating from a Texas high school who participated in an approved college readiness program in grades 11 and 12, are Pell Grant eligible, have at least a 2.4 GPA, and plan to enroll at an accredited four-year public college or university in Texas.
Good to know
2027 eligibility specifically requires a Texas high school, participation in a currently approved readiness program in grades 11 and 12, and an accredited Texas public four-year college. The general historical nationwide program description is not the 2027 eligibility list. The $20,000 is a flexible total award; detailed continuing access and disbursement conditions are not public. Career resources say unused funds may remain available within ten years, subject to eligibility.
