- Who can apply
- Texas residents and U.S. citizens graduating from a Texas public, private or home high school in 2026–27; enrolled Texas 4-H members this year and at least two of the prior three years, in good standing. Apply to a Texas accredited college/university/technical school for fall 2027 and be accepted by the interview. Baccalaureate supports a bachelor’s degree; Technical supports certification with no plan to continue to a bachelor’s degree; Courageous Heart requires documented major medical, family or educational obstacles and continued 4-H/school participation. Terry Foundation recipients are excluded. Donors may impose class-rank, GPA, major or show-participation restrictions.
- Good to know
- Foundation-administered scholarships generally require passing 12 fall/spring credits, cumulative 2.0 GPA and semester reporting with transcript, schedule and donor progress letter. Summer/interim terms are not funded. Donor-administered awards can have separate terms. The public webpage still links a 2026 guidelines PDF even though it advertises 2027 events; separately located 2027 documents conflict internally on FAFSA year and banquet year. Confirm the governing 2027 application rules.
