Rodeo scholarships for high school seniors (Metropolitan, Area Go Texan, Achievement and others)
DirectoryScholarship
This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.
- Award
- Posted high school awards: $5,000 per year, renewable up to $20,000 over four years for tuition/fees. The separate 2026 Achievement award for existing college Rodeo Scholars paid $4,000 per semester, up to $16,000 depending on remaining semesters. Next-cycle amounts and full continuation terms are not confirmed.
- Deadline
- Class of 2027 dates not yet posted. The most recent posted cycle opened December 1, 2025 and the online application closed February 2, 2026.
- How to apply
- Use the online application and upload required documents, then ensure the school official completes its separate portion. One common application considers eligible senior award categories; only one Show scholarship may be received. Achievement is a separate application for existing college Rodeo Scholars, not a high school award. Current 2027 forms are unpublished.
- Who can apply
- Posted senior guidelines generally require U.S. citizenship, Texas residence, graduation from an eligible school, FAFSA and a Texas nonprofit institution leading to a bachelor’s degree. 2026 Metropolitan required SAT 950 or ACT 19 and top-half rank; other categories have different rank, county or participation rules. Community-college entry may qualify with a bachelor’s completion plan. Existing last-dollar/full-ride aid was disqualifying under 2026 Metropolitan rules. Achievement is for eligible existing college Rodeo Scholars, not new seniors. Confirm 2027 restrictions.
- Good to know
- This family includes senior and existing-college programs despite the senior-oriented title. Current website says 2027 dates/information will be published in fall 2026. The 2026 senior deadlines were February 2 at 7:59 p.m. for applicants and February 6 at 4:59 p.m. for school officials; Achievement had June 25, 2026 at 4:59 p.m. Full future eligibility and award rules vary by program. Aggregate funds are program totals, not student award amounts.
